It was Dr. Seuss' birthday on March 2nd! In Rodanthe, Waves and Salvo we celebrated with cake....and by having lots of books to give away and exchange with adults and kids.

I think everyone had a good time...see the pictures and judge for yourselves.

I have decided most people look slightly deranged when wearing a stovepipe hat...that's me on the stage attempting to quiet the crowd to hear our "trio" of readers. They read two selections. They are from left to right, John Contestable, Larry Grubbs, and Robin Gerald.

Here, the "Cat in the Hat," Heather Woodrow, shows the pictures in the book while the trio reads.

Valerie Stump was in charge of decorating the community center...it looked great! Heather & Jessica helped and Betz Mullen pulled the kids' book table together very nicely too.
